Are you wondering why the U.S. Stock Market is at an all time high right now and still going up? Yes, it has a lot to do with President-elect Trump, but it's not necessarily the direct cause. Rather, a catalyst for a shifting world economy. Countries around the world are pouring money into the the U.S. right now, temporarily strengthening the dollar.
The appearance of an unpredictable presidency is creating a hotbed of opportunity for self-educated investors and entrepreneurs. Reduced regulations, lower taxes, pro-growth, pro-business, renegotiation of foreign trade, and better relations with Russia are the leading causes for this future outlook on America and the world economy. Peter Schiff does a great job explaining this huge reaction in the market and lays out all of the possible outcomes of a Trump presidency.
On November 9th 2016, the United States entered a new era. Regardless of who you voted for, President-elect Donald Trump will usher in new policies and changes that will affect our future and the world. Major cities along the coasts seemed to support Mrs. Clinton, while a sea of red covered nearly every county across the nation, from the rust belt to the deep south. Republicans also maintained control over Congress, securing a majority in the Senate and House. The President-elect will most likely choose a very conservative Justice for the Supreme Court. With Republicans in full control of all 3 phases of government, there will be little checks-and-balances to restrain a Trump presidency. We are witnessing the declining of democracy, and what may be the birth of a Trump-Republican Empire.
With this in mind, there will be great opportunities to grow your wealth and business here in America. Reduced regulations and desire to utilize resources here at home instead of overseas will cause the natural resource sector to take off (Uranium, Coal, Lithium, Gold, etc). The legalization of Marijuana will create a tax opportunity to pay down the national debt. Factories will move back and thousands of jobs will spur from new economic growth that is seemingly inevitable. Again, one can never accurately predict the outcome of America's future, but if Trump is true to his word in "draining the swamp", then we should expect positive economic changes in the future. Let's hope that this new era in America is positive and what our founding fathers ultimately fought for.
